If you have a homeowners or renters or condo policy, you have limited coverage for your laptop. Problem is you have a deductible to deal with which may be higher than the value of your laptop and if covered it treats it like a piece of furniture. A better way is to add to one of those policy’s a specific endorsement that covers with no deductible and adds coverage such as mysterious disappearance for a very small cost. www.4agent.com

Ice covered windshield

Well what do you know, yesterday I was in a hurry and my windshield was partially covered with frost. Being the careful person that I am, I cleaned enough off the drivers side to barely see out. I was certain not to drive too fast and look straight ahead. This guy in a large pickup truck didn’t seem to care and he just stopped his truck in my blind spot at a corner turn. Missed him though because at the last possible minute I saw him just sitting there and I tool evasive action. Just goes to show, you can’t be to careful when other people are on the road.

Drugs & driving without insurance

According to The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, it is estimated that 1 out of 5 drivers killed in an auto accident had drugs in their system. Unrelated to that it is also estimated that about 1 in 5 drivers on the road are uninsured at any given time. Maybe it is time to raise your limits for uninsured motorist to as high as you can afford. Side note, my son-in-law was hit while standing on a street corner and nearly killed by an uninsured driver and another party left the scene, in another case my daughter’s car was totaled by an uninsured driver who gave false information to police and left the area and could not be found. www.4agent.com

According to the Insurance Information Institute, Dog bites account for more than 1/3 of all homeowner Liability claims and the average cost of those claims is $24,840. Furthermore, the number and cost of the claims is on the rise. Just something to think about when you think you want that cute little puppy that is part of the dogs with a reputation. Personal note – My wife’s cousin had her thumb pulled off her hand trying to contain two dogs on a lease. Fortunately for her she got to a hospital in time to have it sewed back on. www.4agent.com
